Details of the Excursion
Our destination for this excursion lies a few miles beyond Llanfairfechan at Abergwyngregyn. Here at Pen y Bryn, the owner and researcher Kathryn Pritchard Gibson will reveal to us the fascinating history of the building and particularly its oldest part, "The Prince’s Tower"”.
Mrs Gibson’s research has proved that Pen y Bryn is the lost palace of the Princes Llywelyn, Llywelyn Fawr (the Great) and his grandson Llywelyn the Last, dating back to 1211.
The tour will last an hour or so, after which we will drive to Conwy for supper at Clemence.
