Details of Evening Walk
Our walk will take us along the towpath beneath the historic north face of the City Walls and will introduce us to many of the lesser-known maritime features of the City, finishing at Taylor’s Yard and the Dee Basin. We will gain some insights into aspects of Chester’s Roman and later history.
The level or downhill walk of approximately one mile, starting near the Cathedral, will be led by Mr Geoff Taylor, a Canal Historian.
We should be able to re-board the coach near to the end of the walk.
